Like most international design brands, Tom Dixon presented pop-up exhibitions during the Milan Salone each year. Eventually, it became clear that the time and effort spend on temporary shows might be better invested in creating a permanent space in the city. As a result, Design Research Studio created The Manzoni for Tom Dixon; a space where the public can experience Tom Dixon products all year round in an ever-changing environment.

SORENSEN LEATHER

The Manzoni is far from a traditional showroom. Rather, it is an experimental space that features a restaurant, exhibition space and shop in the centre of Milan’s busy creative centre. Tom Dixon products are in use throughout, giving customers an opportunity to experience furniture, tableware and lighting in a carefully curated, recreational environment.

The Manzoni is made up of a series of rooms, each with its own distinct character, and constantly changing displays of new product launches and existing Tom Dixon furniture and accessories. At the heart of the project is The Manzoni restaurant, a busy eatery where excellent Italian food meets British design.
